Fundraiser This Saturday to Support Local Nonprofit for the Unhoused

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A local nonprofit dedicated to offering essential services for individuals without housing is hosting a fundraiser this Saturday. The event, known as the fourth annual Outpour Fest, will take place at Petty Thieves Brewing.

Project Outpour provides critical resources, including free mobile showers, clean clothing, and hygiene products five days a week throughout the community. Laura Gorecki, the executive director of Project Outpour, stated that these resources significantly enhance the confidence of the unhoused. She noted, “People who are experiencing unsheltered homelessness have very limited access to clean water, to restrooms and to sanitation services. So the ability to come and take a shower gives them a chance to get clean clothes. Which then allows them to go to job interviews, go to doctor appointments, and things like that.” Outpour Fest will run from 2 PM to 5 PM on Saturday.
